This piece is the result of a rapid brainstorm exercise in which I threw fifteen ceramic forms on the wheel and assembled them into several sculptural compositions. The final product was unexpectedly functional. A bowl and a small vase were put together to build the shape of the mushroom, and the opening cut through the vase to create a container.
